S.L.Greek's route to gallery owner, art patron and artist was a circuitous one. She earned a degree in fashion design
and art, and moved to New York City, the heart of the fashion and art world. While working for advertising agencies, Greek
spent all of her free time drawing and painting. As her skills matured, her 1960's fashion models turned into nudes and
landscapes. This artist paints powerful,contemporary styled landscapes in palettes of complementary colors and nudes with
softer colors in a more defined style.

After 22 years in NYC, S.L. Greek moved to Pacific Grove, California and began working in fashion in Carmel while dreaming
of opening a gallery in the style of the 1940's Carmel art studios. She wanted a studio to work in that would double as a
gallery, which would show the public how fine art was created. She also wanted to give new and emerging artists a place to
showcase their work.
